The course was in poor condition generally. The grass was long on the tees needing a longer tee. The greens were patchy with signs of ant infestation in places. The greens needed cutting and there were clumps of grass on the greens. The holes were very poorly cut with rough edges. The bunkers had probably not been raked in weeks, and a lot of bunkers did not have rakes. It could be a really good course, but if we had booked into the Golf Hotel as part of a golf package we would have been very disappointed. This course needs better maintenance. "

This is a desert-style course and it's important to find the fairway. It's pretty flat and they have used the contours well to design an interesting course, with some water coming into play. They must have changed the order of the holes, because Garmin starts on the 4th (this was correct). Long walks between green and tee and time spent looking for balls when they go off into the desert grasses meant that it took longer to play than the length would indicate - 4.5 hours (4-ball pace as we were following some 4-balls). Once I got the hang of the greens (which are very different from the UK), I enjoyed the course." - Amanda Bouch

The course is in good condition. Access to the Hills Clubhouse from the adjacent road is restricted to buggies and pedestrians due to civil engineering roadworkings but a shuttle buggy is in operation from the nearby car park this is availed by ringing the clubhouse on your cell phone."

We have played the course many times and always enjoyed it even though it is only a 9 hole course.We go round twice to make up 18 holes and if you go round twice you have a chance to correct any mistakes made on the first circuit. There is development work being done on the complex of the three courses (Ruins, Lakes & Hills courses). The Lakes course and clubhouse is closed at the moment. A new service road is being constructed in the vicinity of the Hills clubhouse and the taxi dropped us off in an adjacent car park which is about 300yds from the clubhouse but by arrangement a buggy will pick you up. Because you have to access the Ruins from the Hills you start at the 4th Tee and acaddy man escorts you to the tee which is a fair drive from the Hills. " - Bob & Sue Garner

The organisation for tee times is terrible, we played the course twice in 4 days, and after a big mix up the first time, with players not wanting to arrange with the starters, we were pushed behind after having received the suggestion to split up as a couple because 6 players insisted on wanting to play as a three ball each. Todays without notice even at reception when checking in, we were moved from 1130 to 1138. We have full respect that not everyone’s has played golf for long, but to be teamed up with someone who started the game a very few months ago is simply not fair, normally there is some control as to whether players have a basic ability of the game, but having to wait for someone hitting 15 to 20 times on a single hole is not enticing. We feel extremely unhappy as this eventually hampers with one’s own game. Course is in very good condition and greens are at great speed which would be fun, but just having to wait as the other player is being mentored is just too much. The people were a very nice couple, but her ability should not take her to a course…." - tcswede

Customer service can be improved not customer friendly today. Overall the north course is well planned with a good layout. Fairwys and tees were fine today. I have been playing on the North course many times during 10 years and I have never seen the greens in this very bad shape as they were today. Buggy paths needs renovation. No value for money, completely overpriced. Good maintenance but no friendly staff and unable to talk English. Very noisy, busy and greenkeepers who just don’t care. It was a disaster. We had to speed up but we finished 18 holes in 4 hours and 6 minutes. Very disrespectful towards us, just pay 220 euro and get the hell out of here I was a shame, never again. The signature holes was played with two greenkeepers raking the bunker at only 4 meters of distance. They could show more respect and wait and stand back" - Robert

Played Los Moriscos on June 14, 2021. Experienced the course as a beginner's course, but with quite a few water obstacles. The course is flat with relatively wide fairways, which means that no golf cart is needed. Although several of the holes are close to the sea, we lacked a sea view. The greens were of very good quality. On tees and fairways it was unfortunately quite long grass. The layout of some of the holes, e.g. holes 13 and 14, is quite exciting but as a whole the course felt a bit boring. The overall assessment will be approved (2,5), but we will probably not return, especially as the courses west of Nerja are much better managed and have a more fun layout." - Lars

Angenehm überrascht über die Fairways und die Grüns ,guter Zustand, die Wege zu den Abschlägen könnte man verbessern aber das hat ja nichts mit dem Golfspiel zu tun,sondern lediglich wegen der Optik. Ein Marschall wäre auf der Runde ab und an sinnvoll, hatten leider 3 Flights a’4 alter Deutscher „Golfherren“vor uns, die uns die Spielfreude trübten.So entstehen dann Runden von fünfeinhalb Stunden! Spectacular layout, where every green is framed, either into and under the rockface or with valley and sea in the background.large Sloping greens with fast downhill putts. Position on fairway important so not always a driver off the tee. A good thinking course. The only downside, driving range was too far away to use. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Great course. FRied holes and some interesting tests requiring course management. Staff friendly and very helpful. Not sure if We were lucky or if was normal but pace of play was good as I think it was marshalled and with good space between the tee off times. We will be back. The welcome at reception was great and unlike some of the other courses the prices in the ProShop were reasonable. We had a buggy and I am glad that we did. Some people were walking but it looked a hard walk to me up the hills and down and up some of the ravines. The holes on the back 9 along the cliff tops provide some great views. There were plenty of different holes with varying lengths. A couple of the Par 3s were very short which I thought spoiled the course a little. Compared to the other courses we played in Gran Canaria the greens here were slower. Our group comprised 8, 12, 16 & 17 handicappers and we were all agreed on this. My second favourite course in Gran Canaria behind Anfi Tauro." - Julie

A very interesting course with many changes of elevation. Plenty of interesting holes and nice views. Water comes into play on a number of holes. In my view it is far superior to the New Course at Salobre. You can walk the course, in spite of the hills, and lots of people do. The greens were fast and ran true. There is no Club House as such but can you can of course use the bars at the Hotel when you have completed your round." - Julie

Lovely course, very friendly staff, struggling to cope with the issues thrown up by the bad weather. Buggies were allowed on the course despite the poor weather, staff obviously working very hard to keep the course in good condition. The course is extremely picturesque, challenging but fair. Would recommend buggy as the course is very undulating in places. Great changes of elevation, a course planner is essential, as the layout of some of the holes is not easily apparent from the tees." - Mike Giles

If you are looking for a flat, easy to walk course with many holes looking the same then this is the course for you. My husband and I found the course to be be a little boring and hence the average score. It felt like every time you stood on the tee you were faced with a similar vista. The only two holes which are different are 15 and 16 which have water come into play. For the same as the green fee here there are other courses which are more interesting and provide a greater challenge. That said it is a very busy course so people are obviously happy to pay the green fee. For the same money I would much rather play Anfi Tauro. We hope to come back next January for another month but will not be playing Maspalomas again. All staff encountered were friendly and professional." - Julie Richardson

The course has a good layout, the staff are friendly but unfortunately the greens were still in poor condition after hollow timing and the buggies were not allowed off of the cart path, which almost defeats the object of hiring a buggy. Came off of the course both tired and a little disappointed due to the state of the greens having paid full price. Buggy is not only recommended but essential as there are walks of upto a kilometre between holes, but again not being allowed to take buggies on the fairways is an issue." - Mike Giles

They have changed from this year the format of the tees. Instead of having White Yellow Blue end Red Tees as most of the golf courses they have numbers, 63, 59, 54 and 48. Consequently, if last year I was starting from yellow, corresponding to 59 in the new format, this year they told me that with my hcp ( 17 same as last year!) I had to start from 54, corresponding to blue tees last year. Some of the holes with this new format became much shorter and i think this was done to increase the number of games during the day.Bit disappointing but still a great course." - mauriziogolf

I have played this course many times and really like the layout. It is a good course for all standard of golfer. However this time the course was not in very good condition. I appreciate that there had been a lot of rain but the fairways were terrible. The greens and bunkers were fine despite all the rain. As always the staff were very friendly and we did enjoy the round. I do not know if it was all down to the rain but I suspect they need to spend some more money on maintenance." - Eduardo Izquierdo

This is a truly great golf course supported by top class service from all the staff. We played the course at the end of a very wet period in the local area. While some of the fairways were a little soggy, the tees, greens and bunkers were all in excellent condition. This was at a time when most courses in the area were closed or very badly waterlogged. The course is technically demanding, but playable by golfers of all standards from the yellow tees. For lower handicaps the white tees offer even more of a challenge. Green fees are high, but well worth it in my view. We will return." - Clive

We played this course as a last minute change from our first choice option, which was closed after heavy rain. Given the weather conditions the course was generally in good condition, particularly greens and tees which were all dry and playable. Clubhouse was nice and contains a very large, well stocked golf store. The course itself is OK, but for my taste includes too many holes that have been designed to accommodate the rather extreme topography of the area. This leads to numerous holes with excessively steep gradients ; extravagant dog legs; and strangely constructed par threes that just get you from A to B. We were, however, able to play golf, so would put this on a list for rainy days when other local courses might be closed" - Clive
